Dean Dale Cottage

Dean dale Cottage, Kumily was founded in 2009 based on our first hand experience as a tourism promoter for one of the less explored holiday location’s in Kumily, Thekkady. The last few years, has given us a better understanding of the needs of tourism sector, enabling us to respond to the market demands. This website is one of the key initiatives, amongst many others we are working on.

The promoters of “Dean Dale” and “Fern Dale” Cottages are the great great grand children of Joseph Jacob who was a planter by profession having cultivation in spices, tea and coffee. He had tea estates and his children were looking after the estates and the tea factory. Joseph Jacob was the fifth generation Belgium – Indian having ancestral roots from 1870.
